Fully updated for 2025, the UX 250h has been renamed the UX 300h to reflect the new fifth-generation hybrid system. The redesigned UX 300h delivers up to 199 BHP (F-Sport Takumi) thanks to a 2.0 L petrol engine and front and rear electric motors. Paired with a lightweight lithium-ion battery, the new UX 300h is faster, lighter and more fuel-efficient than the previous version.
The updated all-electric UX 300e includes a 150 kW electric motor and provides you with up to 279 miles of electric range (WLTP). The larger 72.8 kWh battery pack allows for more efficient energy use and faster charging times compared to the previous model. With its refined suspension and sleek design updates, the UX 300e offers a smooth and dynamic driving experience.
Available in a wide range of trims, the UX offers something for every type of driver. All electric and hybrid models in the UX range include the advanced Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 as standard, which includes the Pre-Collision System (PCS), Lane Tracing Assist and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
The entry-level Urban model includes 17″ silver alloys, an 8″ touchscreen with cloud nav and wireless CarPlay/Android Auto as standard. You’ll get from 0-62 mph in 8.1 seconds in the hybrid model and 7.5 seconds in the electric version – not slow by any means. The Premium trim adds 17″ black alloys, smart entry and a heated steering wheel.
The F-Sport trims offer more dynamic styling, sportier handling and upgraded tech, exclusive to the hybrid UX 300h models. The mid-grade F-Sport Design trim offers styling updates over the base model, including a unique front grille with mesh insert, distinctive front and rear bumpers and 18″ alloy wheels, without increased performance. For more advanced tech features, such as the Blind Spot Monitor, add the F-Sport Design Tech pack. The F-Sport trim adds performance upgrades for an engaging and thrilling drive that you never want to end, including paddle shifters, Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and a rear performance damper.
Premium Plus trims offer more tech and high-end comfort, without the sporty styling of the F-Sport models. You’ll get 18″ machine-finished alloy wheels, a 2.3″ Lexus Link Connect touchscreen and an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. The Tech pack adds a Mark Levinson® 13-speaker premium sound system and a fully digital 12.3″ driver display.
The top-of-the-range Takumi is for drivers who want to experience unparalleled comfort, luxury and Japanese excellence. Stitched leather upholstery inspired by ‘sashiko’, a traditional Japanese quilting technique, sets the tone for the rest of the interior… Heated seats, a Panoramic View Monitor and a Head-Up Display are just a handful of the futuristic features included in the Takumi trim. The UX 300h is a self-charging hybrid, combining a 2-litre petrol engine with an electric motor to improve fuel efficiency without the need to plug in. The UX 300e is a fully electric vehicle offering up to 279 miles of electric range (WLTP) on a full charge. While both models share the same compact crossover design and tech features, they have different powertrains and cater to different driving preferences.
The Lexus UX 300e offers a WLTP combined driving range of up to 279 miles when equipped with 17-inch wheels, and up to 274 miles with 18-inch wheels. This is a much higher range than the previous version of the UX 300e due to the new high-capacity 72.8 kWh lithium-ion battery.
The 2025 Lexus UX 300e offers the following charging times:
- 10% to 80% using rapid DC charging: approximately 50 minutes using a 50 kW DC charger.
- 0% to 100% using AC home charging: approximately 8 hours using a 7 kW home charger.
The Lexus UX 300e (the all-electric model) can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.5 seconds, while the 300h (the hybrid model) is slightly slower with a 0-62 mph acceleration of 8.1 seconds (Urban trims). More advanced hybrid trims have a slightly quicker acceleration time, and the Premium Plus, F-Sport, and Takumi 300h trims will get you to the mark in 7.9 seconds.
